Enlarged View

Poets write about it, artists excite to capture it: romantic autumn in the Northeast. There is no more relaxing way to see a variety of stages of color than by small ship along this region's waterways, including the historic Erie Canal.

WARREN, RI: Embark from ACCL's historic homeport.

CRUISE DAY: Coastal cruising from Long Island Sound to the Hudson River with memorable views of many New York City landmarks.

WEST POINT, NY: After cruising past the Hudson's dramatic Palisades, tour the amazing U.S. Military Academy campus. (Subject to Accessibility)

KINGSTON, NY: Home to the interesting Hudson River Maritime Museum and Rondout Lighthouse tours.

TROY, NY: We enter our exciting Erie Canal journey here, an especially strategic area during the Revolutionary and French and Indian Wars (pilot house lowered/raised).

ERIE CANAL STOP: At Sylvan Beach, NY or another convenient location (overnight).

OSWEGO, NY: Known as the city where the water meets the rails, you may opt to visit Fort Ontario, a multi-century historic military site (pilot house raised/lowered).

CLAYTON, NY: Visit the Antique Boat Museum featuring one of the world's largest collections of recreational boats.

ALEXANDRIA BAY, NY: Experience the beauty of the St. Lawrence River and the picturesque Thousand Islands. See the grand Boldt Castle.

OGDENSBURG, NY: Visit the Frederic Remington Art Museum which houses a collection of original works.

MONTREAL, QC: Enjoy this contemporary city full of museums, international boutiques and architecture of the old and new worlds.

QUEBEC CITY, QC: This romantic European-inspired city enchants. Admire the winding cobbled streets flanked by historic stone buildings and graceful parks.
